So, please listen to an ancient voice which forever sings anew. Listen, for you will hear wisdom crying out. Her voice of knowledge resounds from the top of the highways all the way down to the meeting of the roads. Wisdom takes her place where the roads go into the towns and her loud cry goes out into the doorways of the towns. Wisdom exclaims that:
"I am calling out to you, o humanity, let my voice enter your ears. Learn to reason and think for yourself, o you simple ones, for you are easily fooled."
So wrote Solomon and some two thousand years later one has to wonder if there is anything new under the sun or if it still is a matter of trying to get people to think for themselves and not be taken in by the high priests and politicians.
