The Columbia Journalism Review nicely sums up the absurdity of Clinton’s case and the confusion of most MSM pundits this way: “It makes sense that the Clinton campaign would be pushing this notion that Obama can’t win the big states. Given the harsh delegate math, Clinton’s only realistic path to the nomination is to convince the press and the party that, though she trails narrowly [sic] in pledged delegates, she’ll nonetheless be the stronger general-election candidate. What doesn’t make sense is why the reporters would buy into it.” (emphasis added)

So let us dispense with Matthews, Dobbs, Crowley, Hannity, and Russert, once and for all. None of them have shown a logical view here. What matters is that many voters now clearly differentiate between Democrats (generally seen as the good guys) and Bush, McCain, and the rest of the GOP bad guys—all firmly associated with the disasters in Iraq and Afghanistan, plummeting economic indicators, legislative and executive branch corruption, and incompetent agency (e.g., HUD, FEMA, FDA) management.
And this voter trend strongly indicates that, faced with a McCain/Obama choice in November or a McCain/Clinton choice, virtually all of those who voted for either Clinton or Obama will choose the Democrat over McCain. Q.E.D. Get over it, Hillary!!
