I looked in vain for a breakdown in the NEP of "When" into gender so have no idea where Steinberg & Elder came by their data. I suspect they obtained it directly from NEP, and so must have known that the relevant statistic went flatly against their explanation. But, in any case, the late-deciders went for Obama, not Clinton, despite her tears, the compressed schedule, and "the convergence of two historic candidacies, those of a woman and an African-American." Call me old-fashioned again, but this race/gender factor is likely one of which the New Hampshire voters were aware well before they had their "considered opinion" come into being within the hallows of the voters' booth. The entire article is a piece of propaganda for the uninformed, and it works, as the Big Lie usually works. You should see what the rulers do with the media to keep the "hot" covert ops hidden from view, but that's off-topic.
