Update: The letter was signed by the Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee: Chair Patrick Leahy, Dianne Feinstein, Charles Schumer, Russ Feingold, Herb Kohl, and Sheldon Whitehouse. It is a delicious irony that both of Wisconsin's Senators signed this letter.
