I suppose as many of us scream in silence, the Lebanese during this assault, screamed in actuality yet no one heard their cries.  We even funded this Israeli strike upon Lebanon and yet we wonder why we hear “Death to America” coming from terrorist organizations and those that support them within Islam.

As I was looking upon these photos showing even more devastation visited upon the Lebanese, I was shocked and horrified that we can even support this.  Why are we shocked when hearing and seeing terrorist attacks upon the United States?  It is because we refuse to face the world of reality.  A unified support of Israel dismissing all other nations will only bring about more threats and attacks upon our nation.

If you think this madness will stop when President Bush leaves the White House, you are sadly mistaken.  On the Republican side you have a full range of candidates promoting war within this region with the lone dissent of Ron Paul.  On the Democratic side, you have candidates like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and even John Edwards who are beholden to groups like AIPAC.

In an email to a Hillary supporter on a political list, I wrote “Having read, Why Giuliani is the scariest possible candidate, I would say that Hillary too is the scariest candidate since she voted for this damn war which took the lives of over 3,800 troops and one million innocent Iraqis.  She failed to read the entire intelligence report provided each senator.  She is my senator and I voted for her to read that report and do her damn job.  That report cited that Iraq had no WMDs, no weapons grade uranium was being sold to Iraq by Niger and that Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with September 11th.

She also gave away our civil liberties by voting for that blasphemous Patriot Act.  Also she knows all too well that it takes 41 senators to filibuster any war spending bill within the senate.  Former Senator Mike Gravel single-handedly filibustered with great success to end the draft in Viet Nam saving countless lives.  He exposed the Pentagon Papers and Nixon was also a powerful president.  Gravel showed the guts to go up against him.  Where are Hillary’s guts?  No where to be seen!  She touts her domestic programs such as health care and seeing that our national debt is at an all time high of $10 trillion dollars; exactly how does she pose to pay for these great programs?  This is where Hillary supporters need to get real or else we shall all face the consequences.”

But, sadly and angrily so, war is our business within the United States and we who side with peaceful messages are all but ignored.  I would say that many do not subscribe to the messages put forth by AIPAC and CUFI.  Those of us who do go up against these organizations are the ones truly looking out for the safety and security of this nation as we will equally go up against any terrorist organization like al Qaeda.  I do not see a difference in any of these organizations and given our recent history; do you?  Until we are heard, we will continue to scream in silence facing night terrors brought about and done in our name.
