If America had a working Impeachment process, the world would see that we are not hypocrites to the mistakes we make. We apply the rule of law and Justice is recognized. Which is better? I say take the medicine. What kind of a leader would do that for the USA, George Bush perhaps maybe?
He would change instantly overnight. Instead of the most hated, he would become an icon of American History. He would be greater than George Washington, because he had the fortitude in seeing what must be done for the Life of Liberty and the Country. He would be seen as a man of compassion and his fathers words of a kinder gentler nation will come true, because even though their intent was to do good for America, things happened that they did not foresee.
Those things were the 2nd Degree Murder of innocent people in Iraq, and the use of torture, and Guantanamo. Bush and Cheney would come out to the bright side of Impeachment and inform us how they want to make it right in America, so we may go forward as an example to the world on how Democracy truly behaves.
I think such an act by Bush and Cheney would clearly see things happening to include people and investors coming to the rescue of America in its financial mortgage crisis, and economic uncertainty. More countries would be willing to listen to America and I predict America will expand in the World, for its principles and clear true meaning to the idea of law and its institutions. America would be united again.
There would be a great respect toward America from foreign countries. Other leaders would be beholden to us for such an example of honest judgment. Corrupt leaders would look within themselves to see that their greatness does not depend upon their military might, but upon how the people of their country respond to their honest act of impeaching them-selves and bringing justice to their nation, instead of disgrace.
I am certain people would revere such leaders, in such times of political uncertainty. People would respond in a positive supporting way. It is up to Bush and his father, and the CIA apparatus to come forward and do what's clearly best for the USA. We are not talking about giving up our dignity, or personal goals to liberty. We are not talking about ending the military, even though I myself think downsizing is appropriate.
We are talking about a real change that our candidates and leaders have no clue to. We are talking about being an example to honest self judgment. That being said would make America better than great, but an icon.
By having Bush and Cheney come forward and actually implement Impeachment on them-selves would prove they don't need another party to keep them in line. They know the parameters of justice, they know the rule of law, they know that to grasp that essence of freedom and obtain the highest credential from the Lord above they must not only be Actors of Freedom but also Beneficiaries of it.
With that being said they accept the crown of Impeachment for the greater good of America, and the world. I am not talking about resigning; I am talking about Bush and Cheney implementing Impeachment upon them-selves, and rendering the courts to execute Justice toward their condition. Their acts of submission will prove leniency and they will be sentenced accordingly. They will leave office not in disgrace, but in reverence and high dignity.
It will become a great story for all of mankind in my opinion. Indeed the hero's do come forward to do the good for our Nation and Country. Violence begets violence. But the men who accept responsibility are revered more than those who never participated. Simply ask Paul the Apostle. After this is done, and they live their respected lives in Security, (which I might add would be the same security they presently live under, because of the mistaken acts committed) I am certain a special recognition will come to the Bushes and Cheney for doing the right thing.
That something or special benevolence will come freely, having not been coerced or been forced to give to them. They will have had a great hand in shaping and forming America and actually leading it toward a better future.Our Country will prosper, terrorism will subside, because the acting forces of change are not seeking it militarily, and Republicans and John McCain would be held in high esteem with him probably becoming President.
Impeachment will become a positive tool toward Democracy and its political process. Impeachment will become real to the Constitution, and part of the governing process in the United States as our fore fathers had really intended.My view of George Bush and Cheney will change forever; from an outright hatred to them, to a sense of compassion and wanting to forgive them.
I really wish I could love and be supportive to them, but they have not proven to me their resolve. They have not won my heart. But if, and I am writing seriously here; they came forward and did this, I know the world would be so grateful toward the Bushes in what they have done.If not we are forever on the road of sorrows. I ask the President to please do this for our Country.
I know I would.
