Most right-wingers outside DC (and within it) don't want DC to have voting representation, because it's understood that any DC Representatives or Senators would likely be Democrats. But the truly strategic right-wingers might take a look at DC's mayor and discover how little is meant in DC by the name "Democrat." And one of the proposals in Congress now to give DC a congress member would give Utah an extra one in order to get Republicans to vote for it.
This proposal for an exchange of activism can be taken up by individuals as well as organizations. If you live in DC and know people who don't, offer your local services in exchange for their work to persuade the people they are lucky enough to have representing them that you should have the same basic right.
