Bush is a liar. He lied us into Iraq. He has been caught in many, many lies- yellowcake from Niger, saying he’d fire whoever outed Valerie Plame and not doing it, lying about the extent of wiretapping, etc. He lies about terrorist threats whenever he needs to distract the public from his misdeeds.
Lying is the hallmark of satan.
John 8:44
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
But, Christians may say, what about Romans 13:
1-2: 1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
My Christian friend, you have forgotten that the governing authorities in the US are We the People, as clearly stated in the US Constitution. We delegate our authority to Congress, to make laws in our interest. The members of the Executive Branch, the president, veep, etc, are public servants, who are supposed to be carrying out the will of the people who elect them.
Bush has usurped the authority of Congress which acts for We the People, overridden its laws, refused its oversight, ignored its subpoenas.
We the People, in the last election, clearly stated our desire to leave Iraq ASAP. Bush refuses to submit to our authority. It is Bush who is rebelling, against We the People, to whom God has given authority through the wisdom of our Founding Fathers. And in so rebelling, Bush will bring judgment on himself.
If you supported Bush in the past, and helped him take power, you have a lot to answer for. You helped install a servant of satan in the White House. It’s not enough for you to withdraw from politics, and decide that religion and politics shouldn’t mix, after all. You have an obligation to tell the truth now, to denounce your pastor if he’s still supporting Bush, and let your fellow Christians know that you’ve all been deceived.
If you are longing for the Second Coming, you must help to reveal the man of lawlessness.
2 Thessalonians 2: 3Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
Bush is doomed to destruction, and will be impeached, along with his evil veep Dick Cheney. Then justice and peace will be restored, and the Kingdom will come to planet earth.
