I hear the noise from the highway
Just over there
And I think of the war
Just over there
And I remember
How far we've drifted
From our home
In the heart
Of Nature and Love
And my pace begins to lag
My vision drops to my shoes
I find myself kicking a stone
And my fingers tighten
Around the objects I carry in my pockets
This is when I have to steel myself
This is when I begin to quicken my pace
