Ultimately, we Europeans in ignorance fostered the lie of Natives being "lesser" people than we Europeans, as well as Africans who were enslaved and "whipped" into submission. Such was the mentality of the "Dark Ages." It appears that we continue to live in "the dark age!" (Consider our current President.)
In essence, there was and is no "New World" in the Americas, except in the beliefs of the criminals who believe in the notion of constant growth. Our horrors of today are due to us Europeans who fostered our current culture, and ultimately the destruction of the planet's ecosystems. Our behaviors toward our ecosystems furthermore fostered a sense of humanity's "owning" Nature.
We are living a lie. Nature is not, and never has been owned by anything. As much as an animal is killed for food, then humans could also be food for small and large creatures. Indeed, mosquitos constantly are sucking my blood during the summer time. I am a participant in Nature. We are NOT the Kings of the world. Indeed, we could be a lovely supper to the joy of a lion and her babies or even an anaconda.
It seems in our minds that Nature is horrible. She is filled with alligators, hungry lions, roaches and a great assortment of various delicious foods . Yet, another definition of Natureis Essence. Nature is the essence of everything on Earth and beyond. Thus, we might say, "The nature of Donald Trump is to be a horrible president and criminal."
Much of our ignorance is fostered in current philosophy. In this case, Trump just wants more and more money and power over all of us. That notion of constant growth is the meaning of cancer. That's not just in Trump, but pretty much the cognition of most of the "civilized" world.
Our current world is not about rationality. Nor is it about intelligence. It is rampant love of control and domination. Indeed, is there any intelligence in our culture? I doubt it as this point. At this point, we need a new philosophy of life.
Philosophy literally means "Love of Wisdom", i.e., Sophia Episteme, Wisdom and Understanding i.e., Philosophia. These are the foundations of intelligence.
"Episteme" is a philosophical term derived from the Ancient Greek word a' Ï Î Ï'Ï"Î Î Î epist"m", which can refer to knowledge, science or understanding. The term stems from the verb a' Ï Î Ï'Ï"Î Ï'Î Î Î , meaning "to know, to understand, or to be acquainted with." Episteme is about love, connection, and understanding. Thus, She's more than an intellect.
Let's take Sophia's understanding, for example . Understanding means being realized in someone else's life. Thus we say "Sam understood Becky when she began to laugh regarding his playful flirtation". Understanding is thus an experience of a person's pain, joy, love, etc. It is also a term that speaks to understanding our world in general, and that includes the reader.
In our movement towards death and/or devolution, humans have lived within the behavioral attitudes of a cancerous growth. Cancer literally means "growth gone wild." Cancer speaks to our destroying the planet's ecosystems, as well as conditions within our bodies. Yes, the high levels of cancer in our lives are mirrors to our destruction of the planet Earth. That's what cancer is.
This "growth gone wild" notion is fostered within the essence of our politics. For example, consider Donald Trump, a womanizer who doesn't give a hoot about people including our children's futures. It's "all about Donald"; his "riches" and those riches that he believes will ultimately merge into infinity.
Yet, the monetary system isn't worth a damn thing in its essence. It's not real! It's Monopoly Money. It's made up. Banks create loans out of thin air by entering arbitrary numbers into a computer.) Ask, where has the gold standard gone to?
During one of the television shows regarding Trump, I watched a group of young men holding Nazi signs. It appears to me that we are now blatantly Fascist. This accords with the thesis of psychiatrist Erick Fromm's notion of "Escape from Freedom." That's exactly what we are doing in allowing Trump to rule us. We are escaping from freedom. How does the reader feel regarding that?
Meanwhile, in this age, we have been and are heading close to the end days of this planet due to our activities. In that planetary ending, human beings and many other creatures will become extinct.
I realize I am being negative in this article. It needs to be said. But, let's be positive. Let's stay hopeful that we won't go extinct and that we can foster a love-filled world. Perhaps we can even evolve into a higher form of humanity? What would that look like?
Ultimately, it's up to us. Its not a politician. We also can't speak to some external "Savior." It's us, i.e., what's within us. What would you wish to foster in the world, including your loved ones and the planet? The horrors of today's world?
