These biological differences may usher in an era of parallel species competing for scarce resources as the austerity imposed upon the people of Wisconsin may attest. But however large such mass demonstrations become, the message of Wisconsin will only advance from an event to a movement if it dismantles both the ideology and structural components of the tyrannical mentality and replaces it with a government and operating philosophy that serves its people. So the message from Wisconsin is twofold: topple the opposition's ideology as well as the collusion of church and state that propels it. Then economic proposals will have their roots in the welfare of its people, not its corporations.
Actually, the right wing has no ideology, it is strictly a carnivorous and predatory mentality that spews out policies and rationales only as cloaks and bait to gain power and control over others. For example, E Pluribus Unum, "Out of many, one," was first placed on the seal of the United States by an act of Congress in 1782. It was used as the de facto motto of the United States until a delegation of right-wing Christian organizations caused Congress to pass H.J. Resolution 396 that officially adopted, In God We Trust, as America's motto. This is how the right-wing mentality operates. They move in, appropriate the available resources, call it theirs and through force of violence and corruption take over institutions in order to make its people into slaves. Replacing the American motto with their own creed was a symbolic victory for their side, capturing the nation's flag and running the flag of their religion up the pole. Politically and psychologically, it represents a reverse in American power dynamic from the collective or from a plurality of American citizens to the authoritarian top-down hierarchy. We the people have been supplanted by them and their God.
From an anthropological point of view the transference of power can also be understood as a shift from secularism or universalism to monotheism as well as from a matrilineal society of all inclusiveness to a patriarchal society of exclusiveness. In other words, from a we're all in this together to an us against them, me against you world. The two pillars of their patriarchal platform are monotheism and monopoly, which in America is called Judeo-Christianity and corporate capitalism. It is easy enough to use their own actions as a way to dispossess them of their Christian pretense, but articulating the progressive or socially conscious economic model will be what dispossesses them of their crony capitalism. In brief, it is the nationalization of banking, war industries, education, health care, transportation, and energy. Once the profit has been removed from these vital necessities, the serious business of living our lives as free Americans in a free America can begin.
