Hitting the market in late 2001, it came with new FDC colors and unsubstantiated GMO ingredients. Yet it tasted exactly like Lone Nut. One difference was never before has ice crème melted at the speed of gravity! It is suggested you have a bath towel close at hand when attempting to devour this freefall favorite. In Ben and Jerry's research testing labs they have not been able to duplicate any historical melting coefficients that would support such a result. Final seven year test findings are still pending.
10. Pancake Cherry.
The second re-released version of Lone Nut. Funded by The National Institute of Plain Vanilla, it has received broad apathetic support.11. Trickle Down Cherry.
Offered in 1981 and backed by a large marketing blitz, this flavor catapulted quickly to near the top. Over the years, copy cat flavors were and still are in abundance, flourishing to this day. Oddly, only the ones who taste it in its earliest offerings seem to get any enjoyment out of it at all. Also known as Pyramid Crème.
12. Black and White Super Shake.
Made by mistake one day when two separated vats spilled into one another, creating an unexpected new taste sensation. In spite of the fact that many did not wish this mixed flavor to be well received, it kept gaining steady support. Efforts to quench the massive demand for this flavor failed. It's taken a long time but finally seems to have reached a steady global acceptance. In some areas however, where some inhabitants do not play well with others, its availability is tenuous at best. Its biggest fans have now come up with thousands of new mixed flavors, led by Color Blind Melon.
And finally,
14. The Simple Sashine Sundae. A consistent mix of straight forward flavors. Quantities are limited. The manufacturer however, always delivers his product personally. One telling distinction is it is enjoyed repeatedly by many who sometimes claim they do not. The maker does not mind. Interest is increasingly up. Tastes great with or with out vodka.
REPORTER'S NOTE #1: As in most elevators and floors in tall buildings, the number 13 missing in the above rundown is given its traditional and due respect of removal. Why? Don't know. Just because. Perhaps this is another lesson.
REPORTER'S NOTE #2: As there are 6.8 plus billion flavors of us, its been proven there are too many good flavors to let go to waste. Sharing and mixing together is not only permitted but encouraged as a flavor gateway. In the latest edition of Earthly Monthly, You Can Have It Allmond still retains the #1 spot. However, as difficult as it can be to locate, it is not impossible to find.
Personally speaking and for no good reason at all, I believe there is a huge difference between being full and being satisfied.
Send me your flavors. The sweet shoppe is open.
