"You want to know what carpet bombing is? It's what we did in the first Persian Gulf war; 1,100 air attacks a day, saturation bombing that utterly destroyed the enemy. Right now, Barack Obama is launching between 15 and 30 air attacks a day."
I'll leave it to the reader to differentiate between responsible strategy and the one opposed to it on this issue.
The hysteria around Trump, built up by powerful competing interests to induce fear, confronts voters with the need to make a choice about what it is they want in a leader and in public policy. If Trump's words, clear as crystal, were winning him votes, what justifies the deliberate misinterpretations of them that now challenge the people's choice? In essence, this sabotage is the same as poll rigging; the means are different, but again the public is denied its rights. The GOP's last nominee, Bush Jr., opened war fronts in the name of democracy, liberty, and freedom that ruined the regions in which the battles were fought. So, today, Americans want a man in front who would undoubtedly do the same, but who can convince them he will do it for the good of America. I have no love for Trump. But I feel for him. At least he is honest about what he will do and what he has to offer all of America's stakeholders.
