Message Doug Soderstrom
Our freedoms are precious and it will not be easy for us to hold on to such freedoms in the coming days. A terrorist attack here, a terrorist attack there, along with what may well be an inevitable suppression of our freedom under a fascist-oriented, neo-conservative Republican administration that would have few qualms in restricting our First Amendment rights. And all under the guise of a call for less government, while simultaneously freeing corporations to run wild so they might make more and more money enabling the rich to get richer while the rest of us fall farther and farther behind.

A prophesy? Well yes, I suppose so. But no one -- at least no one in their right mind -- can deny that Assange has done his part as a freedom fighter, done his part to "strike a stake" in the heart of those who would deny our freedom. So go ahead and let those thieves, those "snakes in the grass," who just can't wait to prosecute Assange have their day in the sun, let them glory in their efforts to cover-up and rationalize their crimes. But in our hearts, those of us who share in such a search, say "Bravo Julian! You are a true man of courage, a hero, a spokesman for humanity, and we will be behind you all the way. You can count on us. We will never desert you for we know one thing -- the truth shall set us free!"
