Registration forms some received in mail part of national campaign Aug 21, 2008 Monmouth, ILDo not trust robo calls telling you whether you can or should vote or where to vote. Verify. Voters should check online or contact their local Elections officials to find out if they are registered. Do this before your state's voter registration cutoff date. In some states this is as far out as 25 days (Oct 10) from the election. If you live in North Carolina and receive an anonymous robo call or deceptive call about your voter registration, you can report it to the Attorney General's office at 1-877-5-NO-SCAM toll free within the state or download a complaint form at www.ncdoj.gov Please also report the event to your local media, so that others can be forwarned.
