"I talked to another witness in the Mueller investigation who sat for a pretty long interview. And they told me that the atmospherics are remarkable. They know everything. They aren't fishing. These investigators can tell you what room you were in, who you were sitting next to in that room, and what exactly you said while you were there. [...] They have it all and now they're trying to get the nail in the coffin."
And here's what Peters observed about people questioned by Mueller's team:
"One of the things they have come back and said to me, to a person, is the seriousness with which they are conducting themselves, the types of questions they are asking, the specifics, the details they are trying to nail down, reinforces why Donald Trump's lawyers cannot allow him to sit down with Mueller's team..."
It's a critical moment for Trump's White House, which is literally collapsing around him. With Hicks's exit, Trump not only loses one of his go-to slaves, he also potentially loses whatever legal insulation she could have provided. And after her little white lies admission, there's nothing to stop Mueller from bringing her back in for more questioning.
