Law and order are non-negotiable for the real conservative. He promises to chase down and prosecute every banker, robo-signer, and ratings agency goon who crashed the economy in 2008. He also promises to bring to justice any and every government official who broke or continues to break the law during the War on Terror.

The real conservative believes that the principle of small government extends beyond the water's edge. He's aghast at the human, financial, and reputational costs of Bush and Obama's wars. He's troubled by the cynicism of US policy in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Libya (he thinks cynics are just disillusioned liberals). He remembers well Ike's warning about the military-industrial complex, and believes the Pentagon should be small enough to drown in a bathtub. He considers neoconservatives the worst sort of preening over-armed imperial busybodies.

The real conservative believes in freedom and democracy for all's the world's people, especially the downtrodden and occupied. He will never sacrifice self-determination for the "stability" of the allied kleptocrat. He demands we never again drag Old Glory through the blood and shame of torture, extraordinary rendition, or illegal detention. He's sickened by Israel-Firsters in the US who evince neither decency nor respect for the law.

The real conservative knows that his rivals for the Republican nomination are CINOs (conservative in name only). He calls them out as poseurs and fakes. He wins the early primaries without the help of the Koch Bros. or other corrupt oligarchs. He is absolutely unafraid of Barak Obama because he knows voters will chose the real conservative in the race.
