3-the trump administration needs a war, most likely with iran. at present they are putting u.s warships off the coast
of iran in the hope that iran will attack one of the ships and give the u.s a pretense for invasion.
4-there are right wing plans to get rid of trump. he's a drain on their fundraising and their approval ratings, and the gop and koch brothers and other u.s right wing groups are planning to get rid of trump.
5-intelligence agencies around the world, and here in the u.s, are horrified by the incompetence of the trump administration, and are working to present information that will lead to high level firings and, ultimately, impeachment.
i'm writing these things so that when/if these things happen there will be a public record beforehand.these are truly baffling and horrifying times, as we have an incompetent president who is essentially owned by a foreign power.
The most significant, from the point of view of t his article is number five:
"5-intelligence agencies around the world, and here in the u.s, are horrified by the incompetence of the trump administration, and are working to present information that will lead to high level firings and, ultimately, impeachment."
One could argue that they are doing their job. But considering what they've done in the past year, it looks like they are in the business of king-making. Which should not be a part of their job.
The Saker offers this analysis of Flynn's fall, in his article, The Neocons and the "deep state" have neutered the Trump Presidency, it's over folks!
"Flynn was hardly a saint or a perfect wise man who would single handedly saved the world. That he was not. However, what Flynn was is the cornerstone of Trump's national security policy. For one thing, Flynn dared the unthinkable: he dared to declare that the bloated US intelligence community had to be reformed. Flynn also tried to subordinate the CIA and the Joint Chiefs to the President via the National Security Council. Put differently, Flynn tried to wrestle the ultimate power and authority from the CIA and the Pentagon and subordinate them back to the White House."
The Saker goes on to say,
"Flynn was not my hero. But he was, by all accounts, Trump's hero. And Trump betrayed him.The consequences of this will be immense. For one thing, Trump is now clearly broken. It took the 'deep state' only weeks to castrate Trump and to make him bow to the powers that be. Those who would have stood behind Trump will now feel that he will not stand behind them and they will all move back away from him. The Neocons will feel elated by the elimination of their worst enemy and emboldened by this victory they will push on, doubling-down over and over and over again.
It's over, folks, the deep state has won."
Add up these different sources and we have a rogue intelligence community serving the neocons and neoliberals--- imperialists, warmongers and corporatists. They have Trump by the balls, or what's left of them. It's a pretty desperate situation and I don't have an answer as to who can clean up this mess.
