The proverbial "icing on the cake" came next as "expertise" flew fast and thick: "China is a party state. The function of China is not to better the interests of the Chinese people- it is to promote, strengthen, and expand the power and influence, and reach of the Chinese Communist Party." I felt this overpowering urge to suddenly recite and giggle uncontrollably:
The time has come,' the Walrus said,
To talk of many things:
Of shoes -- and ships -- and sealing-wax --
Of cabbages -- and kings --
And why the sea is boiling hot --
And whether pigs have wings.'
".Blah de Blah Blah.
Ok. Time for China Lesson 101. Listen up! Today, China is unrivaled and unparalleled in its developmental growth aimed at providing opportunities for its people. Housing, public transportation, health care, and education are all high-quality, accessible, convenient and affordable. China's average retirement age is 54 years old. Lastly, over the past THREE DECADES, the government of China has been working ceaselessly to eradicate poverty that it considers man-made with tremendous success. Today, in 2024, over 800 million Chinese people have been lifted out of poverty and afforded a better quality of life.
Then we really, I mean really got to the crux of the mater: The overall goal of China, Ms. Kissel bombastically proclaimed without bothering to produce a shred, an iota, or a scintilla of evidence, is to "upend our way of life and to dominate and change our way of life. They are "committed to destroying us." The US has encircled China with over 300 military bases and countless troops. China has no military bases in the entire Western hemisphere.
Now let's end this political fandango and unhinged, paranoid delusional performances by members of the U.S. Congress and their "expert witnesses" by letting the transcript speak for itself:
"They're teaming up with the Mexican drug cartels and they're killing Americans," Congressman Fallon told everyone, backing his claim that China is killing nearly as many Americans per day as died during WWII.
