Lie #8. “Many nations, however, do have the resolve and fortitude to act against this threat to peace, and a broad coalition is now gathering to enforce the just demands of the world.”
Lie #9. “The United Nations Security Council has not lived up to its responsibilities, so we will rise to ours.” [Notice how this lie argues with former ones.]
Lie #10. “If we must begin a military campaign, it will be directed against the lawless men who rule your country and not against you.” [The “you” means the citizens of Iraq … um, the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilian casualties is one more shameful legacy of Bush’s war.]
Lie #11. “As our coalition takes their power, we will deliver the food and medicine you need.”
Lie #12. “Should Saddam Hussein choose confrontation, the American people can know that every measure has been taken to avoid war … “
Lie #13. “The terrorist threat to America and the world will be diminished the moment that Saddam Hussein is disarmed.”
Lie #14. “We are now acting because the risks of inaction would be far greater. In one year, or five years, the power of Iraq to inflict harm on all free nations would be multiplied many times over.”
Lie #15. “As we enforce the just demands of the world, we will also honor the deepest commitments of our country.” [We defied the will of the majority of the Security Council.]
On other subjects, Bush, during one of his presidential campaigns claimed, “The vast majority of my [proposed] tax cuts go to the bottom end of the spectrum.” This was totally inaccurate and at odds with where the plans for the cuts actually were aimed.
Another time, Bush said, “The greatest percentage of tax relief goes to the people at the bottom end of the ladder.”
If you’re beginning to see similarities with McCain’s tax promises and Bush’s, you deserve to miss your next ophthalmology appointment.
On the subject of “GLOBAL WARMING”, Bush defended the retreat from from the principles of the Kyoto Protocol with claiming “the incomplete state of scientific knowledge.” … To dodge the responsibility, Bush’s plan “is to reduce America’s greenhouse-gas emissions relative to the size of our economy.”
I think something this meaningless is typical of Bush’s mentality. Unfortunately, his mentality has done lasting damage to our country.

I was born when I was yet quite young, and was second-born in a litter of two. My twin sister and I are not now, nor have we ever been, identical as evidenced by our differing balding patterns: she has very little facial hair. If you look us straight in the face, you'll be able to tell the difference. We were, however, womb-mates (and not cell-mates) which nevertheless allowed us to escape strict indivuality for quite some time. In any case, now that we're both in our dotage, I am a stage actor, and she is not. I have had quite a few poems published and am an accomplished oil-paint artist. These are a few aids to help with identification.
