Thus far journalist Hedges is one of the highest-profile figures to step forward as one of the "good Germans," to the continuing shame of the law profession, especially those in the halls of academe who remain silent.

In related news:

Business Insider writer David Seaman has been let go from Business Insider for his relentless push to have the major media cover what is happening to American rights under the NDAA and the "Enemy Expatriation Act."  Read more at Business Times: "David Seaman, Critic of NDAA & SOPA, Dismissed by Business Insider After NBC News Complaints."

Seaman is author of "NDAA and SOPA: The End of America."  Seaman was blocked from commenting on NBC articles after urging coverage of NDAA and SOPA, which he details in "NBC News Blocked Me From Commenting On NDAA And SOPA."  NBC has also threatened partners who do not sign onto support for SOPA, coverage at TechDirt.com: "NBC Universal Threatens Partners That They Need To Sign 'Grassroots' Support Of SOPA/PIPA Or It Might Have To Drop Them."

NBC alleged that Seaman was "spamming" NBC's comments sections with calls for NBC News to cover NDAA and SOPA.  Seaman told International Business that claims of spamming were:

"unequivocally untrue. I would challenge him, or anyone at NBC, to produce these spam comments. Let the public decide if I was spamming ... It is also completely untrue that I had 'link to his website on every article we were posting this week.' That is 100% false."

International Business reported in the same article that NBC News community manager Anthony Quintano, in alleging that Seaman had spammed,

"went on to say via Google that he would "also be contacting Business Insider on your false accusations towards NBC on censorship."

Seaman was then suspended from Twitter.  In a late-breaking development, Seaman now writes at Google Plus:

David Seaman  -  Dec 19, 2011  -  Public
Starting to get very worried for America. The reporter over at International Business Times who wrote about my Twitter suspension is now unable to use his own account: "My Twitter is now not letting me access other users' profile pages (incl. yours.) It says: 'sorry that page doesnt exist'"
