As well, since the bombing of Serbia, NATO has become, for the United States in particular, the organization which has the mandate to authorize the use of force whereas the United Nations has proven to be less useful due to the participation of non-client states.
Obviously, since there are no hostilities in Libya, Obama didn't even need authorization from NATO or the United Nations not to mention Congress. Possibly Obama should reread the War Powers Act and Article 1 Section 8 of the constitution. Probably it wouldn't hurt him to read the entire section on the powers of the executive.
Facing blindfolded leadership, the public must become active to save the planet if not for themselves, then at least for their children and grandchildren. It is really perplexing that when leaders weigh the options of either sacrificing their principles to win an election or saving their own children and grandchildren, political success seems to win every time. They must be stupid, ignorant or immoral. The public is not and must act.
