Neurofeedback is not like the externalized methods of medication, surgery, or behavior modification techniques of behaviorists. Neurofeedback empowers all of us and expands our ways of being in the world that is unfolding around us. The power is within us just as the healing of the planet lies in the planet, which includes us as cells. WE are not Kings, nor Queens, of this Planet. We are simply cells in its being--hopefully heart and soul cells as well as brain cells--and are here through simple acts such as breathing to support Life as well as complex ones such as comprehension and awe!
More and more scholars, researchers and thinkers are saying that we are at a critical juncture in which we can heal ourselves AND evolve. The power is within us. The true physician is the patient, who exists as a manifestation of Nature's Wisdom. Neurofeedback just rewards, exercises, and strengthens that which is most responsive and creative within our brains.
Nature's Wisdom is within each one of us and within the world. That by which the planet operates is that which is within us.
Is it the brain or the heart or the person that changes? The answer is a simple yet powerful "YES!" It's all one!
The true gift Lynette gives us is the empowerment of the Self, which is reflected in all organs of the body, be it heart, brain, liver or spleen. It gently leads practitioners toward an understanding that the client is ultimately the true "Wing Maker." It inspires our understanding of just how miraculous a self-healing instrument the human body and brain can be when lovingly, receptively guided.
The process Lynette uses is definitely not low tech. Indeed, it uses computer technology to help a child learn.
Lynette is definitely well qualified to do the work she does. She holds two board certifications in Neurofeedback and is working on her PhD. in Psychology, with a specialty in Psychophysiology. As a neurofeedback specialist, Lynette is on the cutting edge of treating autism and other brain-related disorders. With extensive training in several disciplines addressing autism, and a 20-year personal history of working with her own special"needs children, Lynette has achieved an expertise that is both scientific and intuitive and is creating miraculous results for her clients.
The neurofeedback process is reflected in the following diagram:
In 2004, Lynette founded the Brain and Body Clinic, a treatment center for autism and other brain disorders using neurofeedback, a therapy that improves functioning by training individuals to control their own brainwave activity. Although originally based in Santa Monica, California, Lynette decided a clinical setting was counterproductive to the majority of her clients. She now works on site with clients and their families all over the world.
Lynette has two books:
Miracles Are Made: The Real Life Guide To Autism (released April 2011). Her latest book, The WingMaker, was released Nov. 2013.
