The Long Island College Hospital was at the frontline when the twin towers fell in 2001 and again when Hurricane Sandy struck last October when most other nearby hospitals were shuttered. Now the citizens must be allowed to speak, and it is time for the SUNY Downstate to step aside and permit true representatives of LICH help consider the future of this important institution. The Long Island College Hospital must be saved for our future generations.
