Is there a deep logic that we simply don't understand? A set of laws that are not available to us? No one argues against our search to understand the physical laws that govern the cosmos. Why is there such emotional agita when it comes to the search of an underlying logic or deep intelligence that governs evolution? A physical law that doesn't require the mediation of an intelligent agent.
According to Nobel laureate, Max Planck, who introduced the theory of the quantum in the early decades of the twentieth century, "there is a real world, independent of our senses; the laws of nature were not invented by man, but forced upon him by the natural world. They are the expression of a rational world order" (Gleiser).
In these laws of nature and rational world order, we are finding a deep intelligence unexplainable by any system of human logic. Why would we close the door on explanations for who we are and how we got here?
