(Well, I got in the dig about Obama, anyway. Maybe they’ll be too dazed by my mono-tone delivery to realize that we’ve claimed Obama never had any legislation passed and now we’re accusing him of single-handedly pushing through corporate welfare legislation for Big Oil – and Palin being an old working buddy of Big Oil’s lap-dog, Ted Stevens.)

We lost their trust when we valued our power over our principles.

We’re going to change that.

(Please, please, let ‘em buy this line of b.s. one more time. I’ve sold my soul for the chance to be the Commander-in-Chief and show up Dad and Grandpa.)

We’re going to recover the people’s trust by standing up again to the values Americans admire.

(Hmmm, shouldn’t that be ‘standing up for’ the values of Americans? ‘Standing up to’ means acting in defiance of the American values, doesn’t it? I must be getting tired…)

The party of Lincoln 1, Roosevelt2 and Reagan3 is going to get back to basics.

(1Suspension of Habeas Corpus; 2 subjugation of Cuba and the Philippines; 3 Iran-Contra, state-terrorist war to subjugate Nicaragua, ‘Voodoo’ economics. Right. Back to the basics.)
