IT'S TIME FOR A GOVERNMENT RETROFIT!

If we agree that we should at least have some entity which speaks for us to the international community, so be it! We already have delegates in place in the United Nations in New York City. If we agree that we should continue to share in the support of our national defense, so be it! All of the infrastructure and personnel are already in place. How about the ability to print our common currency which sets the monetary standard for the world? The mints can remain unchanged as they are. But if the only reason for the existence of the federal government is to preserve the failed status quo, then by all means necessary we must remove the authority which has been granted to this entity we call the federal government before it has a chance to inflict even more damage on the people of this nation.

We still retain all of the buildings, real property and resources that make up the federal government, and we can decide as fellow citizens and states-united, what is our next course of action. Perhaps it is better to remain as we have always been since 1776 -- free and independent states -- and let it go at that. If it's not broken, then don't fix it. If speaking with a common voice has become the problem, as evidenced by our dysfunctional Congress, then maybe we should consider a less-divisive form of arbitration. I find, however, that it is not a division between our fellow citizens, cities, counties and states that is the problem as much as it is a division caused by special interest groups vying for political and economic preferential treatment at the federal level at the expense of the American people.

It is the federal government itself which is broken and beyond repair. As the superintendents of our United States, WE THE PEOPLE of our cities, counties and states must stop blindly continuing to grant power and wealth to this federal entity of our own creation which has proven itself incapable of keeping our trust and unable to accomplish the purposes for which it was established. Let's vote them all out of office, dissolve the federal government, and live together as the free and independent states that we declared ourselves to be on July 4th, 1776!

I am a writer/blogger who is interested in diplomatic solutions more than all other options, but who recognizes that proper governance must enforce the rule-of-law, especially when its neglect will result in civil war and anarchy. That being said, (more...)
