It's a conundrum to be sure, but one which the Christian Right hopes its flocks
will figure is too deep to ponder and leave to their "betters" - the
ones in control of their souls and their lives ... through politics and
government.
*Buddhism is not a religion in the sense that it "worships" a god.
It is, rather, a promotion of a state of being. Those who deride Buddhism as an
idolatrous "religion" are clueless as to what Buddhism is about.
Buddha is honored, not worshiped. The spirit of Buddha is looked upon for
guidance to transformation.
