Before we got so stupid as to use our brains to make ever more lethal arms and figure out how to find more ways to lie we used our brain to find food and shelter wherever we found ourselves. We humans are incredibly creative when it comes to surviving. But that was a while ago. We cannot imagine any more adapting to what is, we must "design" our planet the way we wished it were. When others have different ideas how it ought to be "of course" we make war on them.
A few hours on the internet convinced me that we are not the smart designers of a better planet, and that undeniably the planet tells us in no uncertain terms that it is a force we better take notice of. What brains we have are wasted on designing smaller more lethal drones, finding ways to destroy democracy as a working system, denying what does not fit our prejudices, playing clever tricks with words. Most painfully we are no longer very human. Let's start over again. At least back to when our civilization was mostly civil.
