Counter-punch, and do it quickly. Don't let the Republicans get a foothold on the lies they tell, or the Democrats will be fighting to appear as if they're " well, fighting back!
Remember the Republicans have vowed to do anything and everything they can do to make President Obama fail. They have admitted that they don't have any positive ideas to help put the country back on its feet, and take the World Leadership back again. After all, George W. Bush made this mess. He took the largest surplus this country ever had, which was generated by the Clinton administration, and turned it into the largest deficit this country has ever seen! And what took Clinton and his people 8 years to build up, Bush (W) ruined in fewer than 4 years.
Amazing, isn't it?
Now, the Republicans are trying to blame the deficit, and the economic problems, on the Obama administration. This in itself is amazing, given that President Obama didn't take office until the end of January 2009, but the Republicans are making it look as if he started the slide downwards in the late 2008 period.
How is that possible, when he wasn't even President yet?
