In essence, the Gospels are a gruesome and cruel parody, or satire, of Wars of the Jews, which give the words of Jesus a morbidly comical meaning. Wars of the Jews is the companion piece of the Gospels without which you can not see this morbid humor. When both are read together, theres no mistaking that the horror being inflicted on the Jews by Titus Flavius in Wars of the Jews is being cruelly satirized in the Gospels. And, as Atwill sees it, the sick humor of the Gospels was deliberately designed to become apparent as satire as soon as they were read in conjunction with Wars of the Jews.
Simply put, as Atwill concludes, the New Testament and Wars of the Jews were government propaganda created by ancient Roman imperialists to keep the rebellious lower-class Jews subservient to Roman rule. Under the direct supervision of Titus Flavius, the writers simply back-dated the Gospels thirty years before the 6673 A.D. Jewish-Roman war and then wrote them as a unified piece with Wars of the Jews.
Adding insult to injury for the Jews, however, Atwill notes the profound irony, that the authors required both the Gospels and Wars of the Jews to be read in the manner of Judaic literature in order to learn that they had created a false Judaism. It doesnt get more hidden-in-plain-sight, at least for the Jews anyway.
For centuries, long after the end of the Flavian dynasty, Jews have been well aware of the insult Titus intended toward them with his morbid parody of their downfall in the Gospels, which was revealed to them only by reading the Gospels in conjunction with Wars of the Jews. One example of this Jewish awareness of the sick, inside-joke against the Jews that Titus Flavius placed in the Gospels, was also found by Atwill in the writings of Shakespeare, writings which were actually authored by a Jewish woman named Emilia Bassano. (see Addendum below) She wrote the Shakespearian works as a direct response to the Flavians dark satire in the New Testament and the Book of Revelations which was authored by Domitian Flavius, the younger brother of Titus.
