Even in the recent elections there appears to be little change in the status quo. If continuing lower taxes were a major panacea for the economy why hasn't it alleviated our economic problems substantially and why hasn't it prevented U.S. companies from moving manufacturing abroad?
When jobs are tied to health care every down turn in the American economy means the health care of the American people is collateral damage.
Only when the political parties are able to distinguish the national interest will the nation steer the ship of state into the harbor of the American people without inflicting massive collateral damage on the American people in their economy, health care, social security, national security and infrastructure.
