So tell us what your plans are for the future.
To survive.
Sure, we all want that for ourselves. But I mean, where are your talents taking you? What are your aspirations?
To keep my kids safe from street hoodlums and pedophiles. There are a lot of them on the streets these days.
Of course, we all want to keep our kids safe. Tell us something we don't know. What's your next step career-wise?
I'm not sure. I have a PhD in biochemistry, but I was laid off because someone in China or India agreed to do my work for a third of the salary.
That's the world economy, fella. And we need to be grateful for it every day. We get bananas from Ecuador, fine wines from France, gadgets from China. Isn't it a marvel?
I suppose it is. But it made me homeless because I lost my house to foreclosure.
Hey, look on the bright side. Don't just think about yourself. Think globally. That person in China or India is probably making more money than all of their friends. You've made them happy campers.
Well, I'm trying to stay positive. But it's hard when the kids tell me they're hungry.
C'mon, kids say lots of things. The first step to good parenting is not to listen to them. I could write a book about it.
My wife tells me that she's hungry too.
Oh sure, a woman will always take the side of the kids. Exert yourself. Be the man of the house.
I don't have a house, remember? It was foreclosed.
Then take the little lady and the kids out for a treat tonight. Get happy.
Tonight I think we'll sleep under the bridge.
