In the Dec. 2010 elections, we have heard numerously on corporate mainstream media about IC "rigged' election and the civil unrest and violence in result.
Th news about Ivory Coast was a surprise as the Western propaganda news agencies rarely inform their listeners about foreign events (in Africa esp.)
Gbagbo, an independent politician who is anti-colonialist, was running for re-election against Alassane Outtara.
Western media constantly declared that Quattara was the winner and that Gbagbo must leave.
What they did not mention, is that the Constitutional Council was informed that Ouattara won WITHOUT SHOWING the results to validate this.
After the dispute in the electioins, the US, EU, France, IMF, and the UN unfairly supported only Ouattara while demonizing Pres. Gbagbo unjustly.
The imperialist elites demanded Ouattara to be president which resulted in chaos in Ivory Coast.
Anyways, it has been shown that this sit has be orchestrated by the US CIA, the French  government and an IMF and UN controlled by imperialist world elite like the Rockefellers and Rothschilds.
Also, the opposition candidate Ouattara worked for none other than the IMF, for many years.

Another thing is that French politician Jean-Francois Probst revealed in an interview that from his view and experience, Ouatara is very close to the CIA
We can see clearly that the powers that be want Ouattara as an IMF/CIA puppet, as they unjustly slander Gbabo while praising Outtara as the victor without evidence.
This while most Ivory Coast people have protested in favor of Gbabo.
reason elite powers want o control IC this much is not only strategic location of the country but also for its gold and oil reserves
another infamous group played a role in Ivory Coast and Outtara were the Freemasons
It was known that France and their African Freemason puppets have been planning to overthrow Gbabo since 2004
In meeetings 2004 OU participated in -French power conspired with Freemasons in Bukina Faso, to overthrow Gbabo and install Outtara.
President of Burkina Faso, Blaise Campaore Free mason, explained in this meeting and helped train mercenaries who would attempt to overthrow Gbabo. The treason of Outtara is blatant, as he supported this violence against Ivory Coast and its people.
"The plotters of yesterday , the plotters of today" they swim in the water and think we don't see their backs but we see them.'
in 2/2011, fortunately Gbabo is president." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8Vz4ldzULQ

Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara flew to France on Aug. 24
for a two-week vacation, arriving on a Gulfstream G3 aircraft
privately registered to Andalex Aviation II LLC, a company out
of Wilmington, Del. Previously on July 28, Ouattara flew to
Washington and on the following day met with the presidents of
Benin, Niger, Guinea and the United States. On that visit, the
Ivorian president arrived on a Gulfstream G5 aircraft,
registered, interestingly, to an apartment under the name Jet
Greene LLC in Miami Beach, Fla.

STRATFOR has reason to believe the aircraft belong to CIA front
companies; he could have chartered a plane from any number of
companies, so it does not stand to reason that he would charter
a plane registered to an apartment in Miami Beach. Moreover,
Ouattara has only recently assumed the presidency. Although he
was democratically elected in 2010, he had to take Abidjan
militarily before he could replace his predecessor, Laurent
Gbagbo. He now faces a number of threats, including from those
constituting the remnants of the Gbagbo regime and those within
his own camp, and the aircraft show that he has found the means
by which he will mitigate those threats: U.S. patronage.

Ivory Coast's Gbagbo Decries Foreign Intervention
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast (AP) - Ivory Coast's incumbent leader Laurent Gbagbo,
who has refused to cede power, has accused world leaders of launching a
coup to oust him. ...

A Gbagbo youth leader has called for internationally
recognized leader Alassane Ouattara to leave the hotel by Saturday. ...

Gbagbo gave an address late Friday on state television in which he accused
the international community of mounting a coup d'etat to oust him and said
Ivorians were being subjected to international hostility.

"No one has the right to call on foreign armies to invade his country,"
Gbagbo said. "Our greatest duty to our country is to defend it from
foreign attack." ...

 The U.N. declared Alassane
Ouattara the winner, endorsing the announcement by the country's electoral
commission. But Gbagbo has refused to step aside now for more than a
month, defying international condemnation and growing calls for his
ouster.

The European Union said late Friday that it had approved sanctions on 59
more people, in addition to 19 already sanctioned last week including
Gbagbo and his wife. Gbagbo and about 30 of his allies also face U.S.
travel sanctions ...

West African leaders have said they are prepared to use military force to
push Gbagbo out, but are giving negotiations more time for now. For many,
the credibility of the international community is at stake if it is unable
to ensure that Ouattara takes power.

Gbagbo points to Ivory Coast's constitutional council, which declared him
president after throwing out more than half a million votes from Ouattara
strongholds. The council invalidated election results in those areas,
citing violence and intimidation directed at Gbagbo supporters. The top
U.N. envoy in Ivory Coast has disputed that assessment. ...

... a pro-Gbagbo youth leader has encouraged his supporters to
seize the Golf Hotel, saying that Ouattara and Soro have until Saturday to
"pack up their bags" and leave. The building is being guarded by some 800
U.N. peacekeepers and hundreds of rebels loyal to Ouattara.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said he is "deeply alarmed" by the
youth leader's comments, and he has called on Gbagbo supporters to
"refrain from such dangerous irresponsible action," a U.N. spokesman said.

The youth leader, Charles Ble Goude, is known as the "street general" for
organizing a violent anti-French and anti-U.N. gang that terrorized the
foreign population in Ivory Coast in 2004-2005.
