I like this direction. This is expanding the "food forest" concept from manual harvest to a mechanized harvest that includes grains and field crops. We have to rethink our current industrial agriculture practices. They are killing us and the earth. I see a lot of "grass roots" experimentation in my neighborhood, including the long range planning for nuts; I am glad to see some research done at the academic level.
