The Russian equivalent of our Homeland Security office has discovered that Microsoft Windows contains reporting modules that can allow people who know the code to remotely access their behaviors, their location, and their communications.
Russia has decided to purge the entire country of Microsoft products, using open source or native Russian coding for operating systems, and also for spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
The report sets out Russia’s concerns: ‘The US, which presents itself as a bastion of democracy, has in fact been carrying out minute-by-minute surveillance of tens of millions of citizens of Russia and other countries.’
