'Why is the Trump Administration so hell-bent on keeping this secret? Because on the call in question, Trump may have made a request for Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election in exchange for improved relations with the US. It has yet to be confirmed that the quid pro quo was the nature of the call, but if it was, it would be more damning than anything in the Mueller report. This would be using the power of the presidency to extort an ally in exchange for election assistance. This call would be corrupt on its own, but this is exactly what it sounds like. The President of the United States, his personal attorney, and the United States Government have been actively and publicly pressuring a foreign power to dig up dirt on a political opponent and interfere in American democracy.'

"President has welcomed foreign interference throughout his administration, and during his campaign. And in spite of the over 100 pages of collusion evidence in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report, Trump avoided a criminal conspiracy charge. But if this whistleblower compliant contains the President seeking a quid pro quo with Ukraine, that may change."

Amidst all the talk of the Trump administration whistleblower, one comment made by the president didn't get a lot of press coverage. We're talking about his threat to release ISIS prisoners into the streets if European countries do not take them off of U.S. military hands.

Thankfully, Fox News host Guy Benson caught that moment, and expressed his shock at the president's comments on Outnumbered.

"I'm still trying to unpack his answer about ISIS," Benson said, looking stunned on Fox news. "He's saying we don't want to take on the expense of housing these captured fighters, thousands of them, these terrorists, indefinitely. So he wants Europe's help. Fine."

"But he said earlier today that if they don't give that help then he's going to release ISIS fighters at the border somewhere and let them go," Benson continued. "Am I taking hallucinogenic drugs or is that insane?!"

You and us both, Guy.
