China is not “stealing” American jobs. As a means of corporate profits and greed, jobs were given to China and other nations as they left Americans to perform service jobs rather than manufacturing ones.

President Trump loves to blame China for the job losses that have devastated American workers under globalization. But the truth is that Trump is blaming the wrong party. Trump’s reckless trade war against China is misguided and amounts to a colossal charade that will not solve the actual problem.

The absurdity of blaming China for looking after the good of its people would be laughable but - it is also dangerous to encourage bad feelings toward countries whose friendship we need. The Chinese are a fine, humane, hard-working people who want to be our friends. Their government is climate aware and willing to be friends with ours. We need 2020 candidates who favor the Marshall Plan (that made the US friends instead of enemies after WW2.
