White teenage boys with MAGA hats harass ed a Native American elder at the Indigenous Peoples March in Washington. Nathan Phillips, 64, is a Vietnam War veteran, an Omaha elder, and a widower.

The teens from a Catholic high school in Kentucky were in D.C. on a field trip, for the March for Life, an anti-abortion demonstration. Snearing faces get close as he plays a ceremonial drum. In spite of the teens surrounding him, Phillips continued to sing the American Indian Movement song intended to send spirits home.

To the Washington Post, Phillips stated, “It was getting ugly, and I was thinking: ‘I’ve got to find myself an exit out of this situation and finish my song at the Lincoln Memorial...I started going that way, and that guy in the hat stood in my way and we were at an impasse. He just blocked my way and wouldn’t allow me to retreat.”
