What on earth does the National Weather Service need to purchase large quantities of powerful ammo for? The request asks for 16,000 rounds of .40 S&W jacketed hollow point (JHP) bullets to be delivered to locations in Ellsworth, Maine, and New Bedford, Mass.

Another 6,000 rounds to Wall NJ and 24,000 to St Petersburg Fla. A request for 500 paper targets was also included. This goes along with the 450 Million .40 caliber bullets ordered by Homeland Security...
