'Leading reformers acknowledge disillusionment with the 'Big Standardized Test,' yet we plod along, obeying a law that requires teachers to do what they know is wrong. 'After 20 years, we know that teachers were actually correct, the tests do not help -- are  not measuring what it claims to measure.  Two years ago,this study  discussed the disconnect  in test scores & the  life outcomes they claimed to improve. Forbes.com cites another study that shows a disconnect between a students' test scores & their futures. In fact, the research shows that programs that improve 'attainment' don't raise test scores, and programs that raise test scores don't affect 'attainment.' I f ed reform thought leaders learn one thing, let it be this– the next time you propose an Awesome idea for fixing schools , and professional educators tell you why your idea is not great, listen to them.'
