The label "PROGRESSIVE" needs to die an ignoble death.

No one with a shred of integrity should align themselves with these frauds, shills, hacks, enemies of progress. It's a scam, people. Sheep herding, and you're the sheep. A "Progressive" is simply a sold-out Democratic Party shill. Nothing more. And of no use whatsoever. Accept it and start supporting real alternatives.

Reply to Joe Giambrone:   New Content

I've been wondering for a long time what "progressive" means as a noun. I'm not going to adopt your definition, but I do question what counts as progress for anyone identifying as a progressive. One common element I've noticed is the continual development of novel terms or using conventional terms in novel ways -- often with no clear meaning. For example, "climate justice"; the interview subject may be involved with a network of people identifying with that term, but it has no meaning to most people. Does it even have a clear meaning to those in the network, outside of being a sort of password for joining the group?

There was a time, apparently now long past, when it was considered being progressive to promote not just equal rights and access to social services, including healthcare, but also the use of industrial and technological progress in support of human flourishing. Now it's claimed by some that we've gone too far and must "progress" backward to "save the planet". Some think it's a sign of progress that surgery is now available to convert genitalia into a simulation of one's opposite sex. Clarity of thought is lost, while confusion abounds. Science is increasingly perverted for political purpose. But billionaires are flourishing, so there's real progress for them.

With a budget of only $500,000, what is the PDA accomplishing? They couldn't beat Tony Cardenas in the last election even though he had been accused of raping a 16-year old. Reminds me of what happened to Shahid Buttar, although can't say the accusation was made to defeat Cardenas.

I don't see a lot of daylight between the Cardenas and the "progressive" they recruited to run against him Angelica Duenes.

How is the PDA any different from the Justice Democrats? Or is that "Just-US" Democrats.

I do support Grayson, but perhaps just me being naive.

Well, I guess the lack of responses to this podcast proves the point -- Who gives a damn about the PDA?

I want my donations refunded. I've been scammed.
