Got involved this work because his son was shot.

Notes from the interview, mostly my questions

His project to get guns out of Starbucks is gaining traction

Called for a boycott of Starbucks, and over 10,000 people are boycotting it.

Worked with people in Newtown, CT to get guns out the Starbucks in Newtown.

Moms Demand Action

Both CT US senators and CT governor signed letter

Disney, Ikea, California Pizza kitchen have banned guns.

Has Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks responded personally?

Article on The Hill: Dems join push to bar guns in Starbucks

What would happen, how would that change things, if they "came to the right side?" (not allow guns in Starbucks)

14,000 stores

Educating the public, help pass sane gun laws

You're saying that every movement requires an economic component. Can you talk about yours, for sane gun laws?

If there are 100 million who want sane gun laws, how many oppose them?

NRA has 4 million members, but 3 million are okay with reasonable laws, so it's a million.

Why don't you tell me what sane gun laws are?

cost per gun homicide-- $400,000,  and there  are 10,000 a year.

So, the insurance would be if that gun was used in a homicide?

States should issue the insurance and self insure?

Of course you're going to get the opposition of the Republicans and libertarians who oppose the government doing anything.

So you say We're not  asking anymore.  You're going to deliver economic pain to elements of states that you oppose?

HOw are you going to do it. I'm going to join the boycott against Starbucks.

What other actions are you working on?

Have you heard of the Small Penis Gun Club that Thom Hartmann created?

The second amendment was created to protect slavery? Can you tell me about that?

The Hidden History of the Second Amendment-- by Carl Bogus  about the role of slavery in the creation of the 2nd Amendment.

You've got a boycott going after Starbucks. Are there other companies or plans you have?

One more thing-- the truth is that the gun lobby is not really about the hunters who are members of the NRA, it's the gun manufacturers, right?
