Everything going on in our country right now...It's just the beginning...the beginning of what, though? Personally, I believe The United States of America is headed for a second, full-blown revolution. You may laugh at me now, but our children won't be laughing. Most likely, it will be them who have to take America back!
Every day we hear talk about Republican this, Democrat that, blame The President for this or that. Holy crap, enough is enough! Why can't we all just get along and do what is right for the people? Isn't that what our nation was founded on? If I'm wrong about this, please help me see the light. I mean the Constitution is almost totally forgotten about these days. It used to be the focal point of conversations when facing tough issues, and far-reaching decisions. Now the only thing politicians worry about is "what bullshit can I dish out that will get me re-elected?" Forget the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Patriot Act pretty much wiped out half our civil liberties in one shot! And don't forget, we have ourselves to blame as well. We The People have allowed this to happen! Make all the excuses you want, but WE are the ones that put these morons in office. We are the ones that have to hold ourselves accountable. And if you don't vote in your local elections, then you are more to blame than some others. Hell, I'm even guilty of that. It is OUR OWN responsibility to learn about the issues that need to be fixed, and take appropriate action to fix them.
Listen, I'm not saying EVERY politician is evil, or should be thrown put of office, but there are a lot of liars on Capitol Hill, and in our own back yard City Councils for that matter. Sure, everyone lies at some point or another, but why do we allow those same liars to continue to lie to us over and over? Since we are on the subject of lying, lets stop lying to ourselves, and do something about it! If we don't, The United States of America is heading for another civil war! I know, I know, you think I'm overreacting. Well, maybe I am, but history ALWAYS repeats itself. It has been 145 years since the last civil war in America, and conditions exist right now that are primed to push us right on to another one! Mark my words.
