Remember, as the light of truth slowly strangles the vampire Bush administration, that the real enemy is strangling our democracy.
Remember the unusual number of suicides, plane crashes and assassinations that befall those who plan to cut the military budget. Ex-Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld has stated that the Pentagon cannot account for 2.3 trillion dollars of our money, and they want another 600 billion this fiscal year.
Why would the champion of human rights need so much for defense?
Because we are not the champion of the disenfranchised, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free, but rather we are coercing, through over 700 overseas military bases, our control of every country's natural resources, government, and media.
Both the founding fathers and Pres. Eisenhower warned us about the potential of large standing armies and the military-industrial complex to subvert our democracy. Now we see it for ourselves.
Corporations that see death and innocent casualties as a cost of doing business, that see the environment as a cost-free way to reduce production costs by dumping toxic by-products into our air and water, value profit above human life and the extinction of species.
So, while we watch as, sooner or later, everybody will know everything about the lies of this administration, the real enemy slinks away in the shadows provided by main-stream media. We are investing in destruction, not in creation- in war, not in life.
The defense industry runs the military, the CIA, the media, and the government. Our capacity for destruction threatens to destroy us.
