Fitzpatrick telling Rove he was not going to be indicted, is very likely because of the verdict in convicting Enron's Skilling and Lay. Is it a coincidence they waited until Enron was out of the way? Hardly. Rove is said to have had alot of Enron Stock, and I think Fitzpatrick caught onto something, about Rove and the reason for outing Plame, to take on Iraq.
As we all know Fitzpatrick is a Republican, which behooves me to wonder how he even got the job to have the oversight over the investigation. Fitzpatrick is a plant to keep the lid on Afghanistan and the Enron connection to 911. Whatever happened to independent investigations?
I think that in order for him to prosecute Rove, it would have brought out Enron, and opened that case again. Not for the fraud committed against investors, but from its connections to Afghanistan, and exposing Bush,Cheney, and Rove with the secret negotiations of the oil pipeline going through Afghanistan. They got their case verdict without mentioning Enron and Afghanistan, and they want to keep it that way. Going forward with a trial on Libby has no consequences, since Libby is the messenger.
As we know FBI Anti Terror Chief John O'Neill was killed in the WTC where they thought he had the evidence showing proof of Bush@co in those pipeline negotiations with the Taliban and Bin Ladin. Seems to me Rove probably gave Fitzgerald a subtle reminder, since his boss Guiliani is tied in with this seige on the United States. If Fitz plays ball, they will take care of him with $.
No they are not going to indict Rove, or Cheney. They will play their game with Libby, and it will die... They hope.
