Sleep Deprived? Misspoke?
Hillary, stop insulting American voters. I mean no harm or disrespect, as I may be voting for you in the next months, but you are disrespecting the American people.
To the untruth you told about being under “sniper fire” and having to “run to your cars” while in Bosnia, you said that you were “sleep deprived,” and merely “misspoke.” Senator, if I know one thing about you, it’s that you don’t misspeak. That description of the trip wasn’t merely a trip of words; it was a two minute description of the trip.
Maybe you were correct in your account of the trip, but mixed up locations. I won’t deny you that legitimate mistake. However, to blame it on sleep depravity and you misspeaking without making the correct location of that experience clear, is to play Americans voters as fools. We aren’t.
Additionally, you have failed to release your tax returns, and failed to release your requests for earmarks. Your democratic opponent has done so.
When we talk about honesty, and character, we look to you, Obama, and McCain to uphold those standards. These actions are clear breaches that have become a pattern, especially when you combine these actions with the way you have vehemently attacked your Democratic opponent. You went as far as implying that you and John McCain are the only ones ready to be Commander-in-Chief. If that’s the case, you can’t also argue that you want Obama as your VP. Why don’t you just drop out and vote for McCain?
After all, he’s got more years in Washington than you and Obama combined.
There is a reason why so many Clinton administration officials, including Labor Secretary Robert Reich, Governor Bill Richardson, Retired General Merrill McPeak, Asst. Sec. of State Susan Rice, Assistant Attorney General Deval Patrick, Impeachment Defense Lawyer Greg Craig, have ALL endorsed your opponent. Since you were so hands on in the Clinton administration, why have they all jumped ship?
I say it is because they believe in Barack Obama’s judgment and experience. They believe that you are running a negative campaign that is tearing the party apart. They believe that the millions of new voters that Obama has inspired can bring back the White House and bring more Democrats to Congress.
They, along with the American people aren’t fooled. You’re helping to weaken Obama, the likely Democratic nominee. It would be a travesty if we have four more years of the war in Iraq as a result.
