Astronaut Lisa Nowak drove 900 miles, wearing an adult diaper, so she wouldn't have to stop. She was driving to speak to a a woman she thought was having a relationship with fellow astronaut Navy Cmdr. William Oefelein. We're not even sure they had sex in space, but... what the heck, for decades, I've wondered what it would be like and wondered if it had been done yet. I hope so. What a waste of all that zero gravity, otherwise.
Maybe experiencing just "lust in space" drove her to this. Who knows what zero gravity does to the sex drive.
Yet, ironically, after all the years astronauts have been going into space, it is strange that this one wore a diaper in pursuit of her competitor for astronautical affection. It seems so... senior citizenish. But actually, astronauts wear the diapers routinely during launch and re-entry.
We have to wonder how an astronaut, who is supposed to be so carefully screened and vetted, could go totally nutso. It makes me wonder if she was a Bush appointee, where the policy is to choose based on loyalty rather than expertise.
The thing that makes me reject that theory is this poor, clearly obsessed woman, cared. I just don't see that when I look at the typical right winger. Well, we do have the religious extremists. Maybe she had that kind of credential.
Now she gets to wear a global positioning device designed to call the woman she was stalking if she gets within a specified range of her. Oh, that we could do something like that with George W. Bush, warning the nation if he got near any DECISIONS affecting Americans, troops, diplomacy... Now that would make us all a lot safer.
