On Sunday, there was growing pressure on Coalition forces to directly target Col Gaddafi with military strikes. Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican member of the Senate Armed Services committee, said that the quickest way to end the emerging stalemate was to 'cut the head of the snake off.'
