Feinstein Must Subpoena Brennan of CIA and Put Him Under Oath About CIA Spying (12 comments)
Let us pepper Feinstein and Brennan with emails and letters to have him testify under oath before the senate committee on public media so that we can all find out as much truth as is possible to ascertain. In this way, perhaps we can pressure them both to do their jobs in a responsible manner, by serving the American people as they are charged to do.

Falling Faster and Further Into the Abyss (5 comments)
If, and when, America should lose its reserve currency status, there will be a lot of hand wringing and shouting and blaming in America and anger at the world, but the truth is known to many of us in the world -- it will be America's own fault, not the fault of others. our lives will continue to collapse and we will fall faster and further into this abyss we're already rapidly falling into.

To Be In Love
Happy holidays to all humanity! Just something for this special season about LOVE -- which we need more of in this world.
Robert Gates Was Correct: They Should Have Their Heads Examined for Starting Another War
It is impossible to have three known wars, along with the new warlike behavior of AFRICOM, and an unofficially declared war on Pakistan, and still save our American people and our economy. This is pure madness. Our leaders say we want peace, but a wise man once said, "You can't make peace by war." Unfortunately, America, Britain and France have not learned that lesson.

It Is Time For The Warmongers to Step Back -- or Step Down (8 comments)
The UN resolution that was passed was simply for a "no fly zone." It said nothing about replacing or "ousting" Qaddafi. Also, it turns out the Arab League did not have a full quorum, but voted to support this attack on Qaddafi in error. The Arab League secretary general, Amr Moussa, is now sorry that he led the rhetorical assault that the Saudi's and Americans pushed for.

If We Follow Obama's Logic...
What's fair is fair, and we should be responsible for fairness and for the humanitarian needs of the American people. Far too many of us are suffering daily under a government that flouts the law, starts wars that wastes money and lives, destroys social safety nets to rake in more money for wars.
Secret American Atom Tests On Ocean Floor Creating Earthquakes, Tsunamis? Some Questions (9 comments)
Considering all the lies the American government has told the world as well as US citizens, I no longer have any faith in our government's honesty or morality. One has also to look at what they did -- and are doing -- to Private Bradley Manning, torturing and humiliating him until he is reportedly "catatonic" just because he told the truth.

ARE THE REPUBLICANS OUT OF THEIR MINDS? I THINK SO (2 comments)
Hey Sarah Palin, Hannity, Colmes, Beck, Bonehead, Cantor, King, Scott Walker and the rest of you -- just shut the government down, and you'll regret it for the rest of your lives.

AFRICAN UNION, DESTROY IT: THE SECRET AGENDA OF AMERICA AND THE EU (1 comments)
There were a few stories about this African Command in some of our newspapers, but then nothing; and Africans leaders are upset about it. They are also upset about our new naval base in Djibouti. But none of our major media ever talks about it anymore, and none talk about the Qaddafi money that bankrolls the African Union.

Four Sides of the Libyan Situation (8 comments)
A serious weakness in the West is that we think our way is the only way. This ethno-centrism, and the greed of our government to control the resources of other countries, has hindered our ability to understand others and has led not only to a loss of American prestige and moral leadership in the world, but to fear of American neo-imperialism.

NEVER FORGET RWANDA
REMEMBER RWANDA. There was no oil, so millions were needlessly slaughtered while the US and the EU stood idly by. But there IS oil in Libya, and that's the reason the US, the UK and France are so anxious to get their troops into Libya and take Qaddafi out of power.
AS TO QADDAFI, DEMOCRACY AND NEO-COLONIALISM (1 comments)
I'm not sure what the truth is in Libya today, but I do know that colonialism is not dead, and America and the EU still feel it is their manifest destiny to "rule the third world," and of course, take what they want while they "enchant" the people with the sweet word, "democracy," which many think is paradise.

The Heritage of President Gamal Abdel Nasser and the Future of Egypt
The Egyptian military will run things until a stable situation is achieved, until a civilian authority is put into place, with a democratic vote for parliament and other offices. In the meantime, I hope the US, Israel, Iran and others will keep their dark OP hands out of Egypt, but I fear they will be meddling and, while rhetorically calling for "democracy," will be trying to subvert it.

The Unfortunate Truth About Ronald Reagan -- Neither a Great Nor Good President (36 comments)
Reagan was the kind of man that President Eisenhower feared would one day be in the White House. Sadly, his fears were born out with the arrival of the actor Ronald Reagan, a man who did not write his own speeches, could not keep his mind together for more than two sentences, who was a fool in international politics and destroyed the America we all loved and believed in.

WHAT MAY HAPPEN IN EGYPT (1 comments)
The chaos that comes with revolution may be resolved peacefully as in America, or get out of hand as it did in France. However, my belief is that the Egyptian Army will play a strong hand once again and restore stability, safety, social services, and will attempt to solve the major problems Egypt is facing.

WE WANT JOBS! THE CRY IN EGYPT, AMERICA, THE REST OF THE WORLD (4 comments)
The system is not working in most of the world, and few of those in power are addressing the problem in a serious manner. Egypt is but a harbinger--the canary in the coal mine that warns when poisonous gases have reached the danger point. Let us hope that people in power in the world will awaken in time and find solutions, no matter how radical they may seem, before more explosions occur and more people have to suffer.

Egypt and America: Both Must Become More Truly Democratic (1 comments)
Israel no longer has a puppet in Cairo, nor does America. Some say America is the 2nd state of Israel, not Israel as the 51st state of America, and one has but to see the behavior of Binyamin Netanyahu and those before him to see how often they have spit in the face of American presidents.

FIRING KEITH OLBERMANN: THE TYRANNY OF THE MEDIA OLIGARCHS (4 comments)
The loss of Keith Olbermann is a bad omen for America. We should be aware of this loss, and do what we can to let others know its impact -- how much of democracy we have lost. I'm sure if George Orwell were alive today, he would weep at this atrocity.
Sorting Things Out (1 comments)
Rather than making America safer, Bush and Obama have created more danger for our lives. Even our military men, as well as our CIA, FBI and Homeland Security heads are living in a WWII zone -- none want to face the reality of how we are creating more enemies every day.

AMERICA'S NUCLEAR DUPLICITY (1 comments)
as time goes on, it becomes ever more clear that America is on the path of destruction and abetting it in the world by continuing to supply Israel with nuclear materials, all in violation of its avowed nuclear policies and as an insult to its avowed desire to stop nuclear proliferation.

American Con Job: The Middle East "Peace Process"
The Middle East peace process is just that -- a "process." Like politics in Washington D.C., it is designed to go on endlessly with those involved talking, talking, talking, while at the same time behind the curtain, doing what Israel wants. Finally, Israel, Palestine, U.S. leaders -- and the media -- give up in sheer exhaustion, with nothing being done.

Hubris -- Obama as Emperor Jones ala Eugene O'Neill
It's hard to tell for sure, but it was clear from the beginning of his administration that the Clinton Gang took over the presidency, not Barack Obama. It was they, along with their man, Rahm Emanuel, who helped Obama get the nomination for the presidency and, once he got it, he was beholden to them.

Some Troubling Questions (1 comments)
When you consider the sheer impact of the crimes revealed by the recent Wikileaks document release, many troubling questions come to mind. These, and many others, tell me we are already pretty far gone in America, and it's only a matter of time before we are no more.

Juan Williams: Falling Back on the Race Card? (1 comments)
Williams is playing the race card, but no black intellectuals, nor the rest of us minorities are buying it. But, as I said, it could be that Fox and Williams did a triple play -- hurting Islam, hurting NPR/PBS and enhancing Fox with the right wing and tea party reactionaries.
Michael Vick, George W. Bush and Justice: A View from Mars and America (6 comments)
The person from Mars joins me in wondering about the strange circumstance of a man who did a minor mistake, having to pay for it in a much larger way than did Bush and his cohorts who were, as I believe -- and the world knows I am correct -- responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths of Americans, Iraqis and Afghanis.
Is Obama Living in La La Land -- While Netanyahu Spits on Him? (1 comments)
We have come to the point of idiocy with Obama's statement about the settlements today. Whatever currency he had to work with in the Middle East is now gone. This newest gaff by Obama shows he is either a bootlicker of the Zionists around him like Rahm Emanuel, or he has lost his marbles; it may be both.

The "Dark Ages" of America
The "Dark Ages" of America are upon us -- the broken 100-year old levee in Wisconsin, the wars, the corporations and more jobs being lost every day. It is clear that America is running things upside down, and that the dark days we've seen are but the beginning of a new "Dark Age" in our country.

LET'S GET RID OF THE "FED" (1 comments)
banks want to accumulate more money and not loan it out because, for some reason, they want more reserves "for a rainy day." They may be making more money on currency trading or investments other than mortgages that are at a low rate these days, or using more of their money on credit card predatory lending practices, while justifying spending more money on TV advertising telling how they are working for us.
I am a Jew -- Not a Zionist (11 comments)
It is time people realized that, as the rabbi put it, "Too many people think all Jews support Israel. I support Judaism, which is fast disappearing in Israel, and being replaced by the Zionism of Barak, Netanyahu, Lieberman and others who wear the mask of our religion while they commit crimes against humanity, especially the Palestinians. Eventually, this will all come to ruin."

Hate Speech Versus Freedom of Speech (7 comments)
If this is allowed, for even a moment, the picture of burning Qur'ans will be spread all over the Muslim world and make moderates into radicals; thus, giving more ammunition to radicals. It will also show Muslims that the American government, the Florida government and the city of Gainsville were afraid to act to prevent this man from yelling "FIRE!"
